Reconstruction and remodeling in Chesapeake and South Hampton Roads

AmeriTribe rebuilds homes after water, fire, mold and storm damage in Chesapeake and across South Hampton Roads, and handles kitchen, bathroom and roof projects. As a Virginia Class A contractor, AmeriTribe can run every trade on the job, so the company that did the cleanup finishes the rebuild.

A finished AmeriTribe reconstruction: floors, walls, trim and paint.

The cleanup is done. Now the house is a shell.

The walls are open, the floors are gone, and the mitigation company has packed up. Now you are supposed to find a builder, get bids and wait for the insurer to approve a second estimate. That is where a lot of restoration jobs stall for months.

We finish what we started

AmeriTribe is a Class A contractor, Virginia's highest license tier, with residential and commercial building classifications. The estimate that covered your cleanup carries straight into the rebuild, and so does the crew.

Three steps, one company

  1. Call (757) 520-5190.

Tell us what happened or what you want to change.

  2. We scope it in writing.

An Xactimate estimate for insurance work, a written scope for remodels.

  3. We build it.

Every trade, one company, through the final walkthrough.

Why use the same company for restoration and rebuild?

Because the handoff is where jobs stall. When a separate builder has to re-bid the work, the insurer reviews a second estimate and you wait. AmeriTribe carries the job from mitigation to final paint under one license, so there is one estimate, one schedule and one company accountable.

Will my insurer pay to match my floors?

It depends on your policy, but it is worth asking. When damaged flooring runs continuously into undamaged rooms, a patch that does not match can leave the home worse than before. AmeriTribe advises homeowners on rebuild choices like this and documents the case for your adjuster.

Our reconstruction and remodeling process

  1. Scope and estimate. Written scope, and an Xactimate estimate for insured losses.

  2. Permits. Pulled where required.

  3. Framing and rough-in. Structural repairs and the trades behind the walls.

  4. Insulation and drywall. Hung, finished and ready for paint.

  5. Flooring and cabinets. Including kitchens and bathrooms.

  6. Paint and trim. The finishes that make it home again.

  7. Final walkthrough. We walk it with you before we call it done.

Still dealing with the damage itself?

AmeriTribe handles the cleanup too: water extraction and drying, fire and smoke cleaning, mold remediation and licensed asbestos abatement. Start with us and the rebuild is already lined up.

What waiting costs you

An open house isn't secure, and exposed framing and subfloors can take on moisture again. The faster the rebuild starts after drying, the sooner you are home.

What affects the cost of reconstruction?

Cost depends on the square footage being rebuilt, the materials you choose, the trades involved and whether structural repairs are needed. For insured losses, the approved Xactimate scope sets the baseline, and AmeriTribe will tell you up front if a choice you want goes beyond it.

What moves the price up or down

  • Square footage and rooms
  • Structural repairs
  • Kitchens and bathrooms
  • Flooring and cabinet choices
  • Upgrades beyond the insurance scope
