Why doesn't AmeriTribe do its own mold testing?
Because the company removing the mold shouldn't be the one deciding how much there is. AmeriTribe always uses an independent third-party tester. That keeps the results objective, gives your insurance adjuster a report they can trust, and gives you a clear before-and-after picture.
Can I remove mold myself?
The EPA says a homeowner can usually handle a moldy area smaller than about 10 square feet, roughly a 3 by 3 foot patch. Larger areas, mold after a lot of water damage, or mold inside walls need professional remediation. Whatever the size, fix the moisture first. Painting over damp drywall traps the mold and it keeps growing.

Will mold come back after remediation?
Not if the moisture source is fixed. Mold needs water to grow. That is why AmeriTribe treats the leak, the humidity or the drainage problem as part of the job, not an afterthought.
Can I paint over mold?
No. Paint traps the mold and the moisture behind it, and the growth continues underneath until the paint bubbles and peels. The affected material has to be cleaned or removed and the moisture fixed.
